So, I had no interest in ever being a nurse. Ever. This program was in my mind just a means to an end. It turns out that I LOVE it and am really good at it. What a pleasant surprise! It is really busy, but it seems to fly right by. It is so interesting and has thus far been able to keep my attention span. Who knew!?!? I have class on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for eight hours a day. I have clinicals on Thursday for eight hours where I am on the Pulmonary (lungs) and Renal (kidneys) floor at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Here's a picture of me in my "personal protective equipment" that I have to wear when working with patients with nasty infections. It gets so hot!
